Le gouvernement moldave approuve le lancement des négociations avec la Tunisie sur l’abolition du régime des visas pour les titulaires de passeports diplomatiques, de service et spéciaux
The cabinet of ministers today approved the draft decision on initiating negotiations and approving the signing of the Agreement between the government of Moldova and of Tunisia on abolishing the visa regime for holders of diplomatic, service and special passports.
The relevance of the draft is determined by the common interest in boosting, diversifying and developing relations of friendship and bilateral cooperation, by facilitating official travel for the categories of persons concerned, in compliance with the national legislation of the parties and the regulations on public order and national security.
“In accordance with the provisions of the draft treaty, holders of such passports, issued by the government of Moldova and the government of Tunisia, will be able to enter, transit or remain on the territory of the other party’s state without visas, for a period not exceeding 90 days during any 180-day period,” said State Secretary of the Foreign Affairs Ministry Valeriu Mija.
Through this agreement, the two states will reconfirm their intention to create favorable conditions for strengthening political dialogue and developing economic, commercial, technical, scientific and cultural relations, by facilitating direct contacts between decision-makers of both countries.
This decision enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Journal of Moldova.
