Le pèlerinage juif annuel à la synagogue El-Ghriba en Tunisie a connu un modeste retour de visiteurs internationaux

DJERBA, Tunisie (AP) — Le pèlerinage juif annuel à la synagogue El-Ghriba, vieille de 26 siècles, en Tunisie, a attiré cette année un retour modeste mais notable de visiteurs internationaux, priant ensemble sous haute sécurité après qu’une attaque meurtrière en 2023 ait perturbé le festival.
Des visiteurs sont venus de France, de Chine, de Côte d’Ivoire et d’Italie, dont l’ambassadeur de France en Tunisie, un geste symbolique après que deux citoyens français figuraient parmi les personnes tuées lors de l’attaque de 2023. Cette année-là, un garde national a abattu cinq personnes à la synagogue El-Ghriba peu après le festival, semant la peur parmi la population juive locale et les pèlerins internationaux.
